ABINA BEDS!

There is no place like home, but our hearts remain with the children in Costa Rica.

Because of your  generosity and the support from other ministries and volunteers, 20 children call Residence of Life their home.

VAYA CON DIOS
For 11 years, donors and volunteers have blessed ABINA Ministries with opportunities to serve the children in Grecia and Atenas Costa Rica!
Each year the Lord provides a way for our non-profit to raise the funds needed for our annual mission. Each mission allows us all, a chance to help orphans with their personal care and home furnishing needs.
Every day, we trust God to direct our paths, and breath new life into all we do and all who feel called to be His hands and feet!

Con Mucho Gusto….

Some reflections and photos of previous mission trips:

Back in the States, upon our return home, we began preparing for ABINA’S 3rd Annual Chili Challenge at BBR. With the help of our volunteers and board members, we were able to get everything done in time for the event.

ABINA’S yearly fundraiser, held on July 19th, raised enough funds to buy the orphan’s home a larger size refrigerator. The new appliance will be delivered to the children and their care-givers before Christmas.

The new freezer was purchased by ABINA donors, in Costa Rica, as a part of  our mission trip in April 2014.

One of life’s simple pleasures, a new freezer! They didn’t know it was coming until the truck pulled up into the driveway!

Spring Mission Trip To Residence of Life,  Atenas, Costa Rica;

Jeremy and Colette traveled to perform maintenance on the bunk beds and kitchen cabinets built in 2010/11.

Several of the kitchen cabinets, kitchen table, and one child’s bunk-bed. We were able to rid the furnishings from the termite infestation and spray for six months protection.

The funds used to replace the infested wood was paid for by ABINA’S donors.We tried to take photos to show you how important this mission was. If we had waited another year, the bed would have been a total loss. We learned that in the future, all of our wood work will need to have a preventative applied to them, on a regular basis. One application lasts six months. We will be back!
