ABINA MISSION #13.5
“A Blessing In A Boot 2.0…”
June 2021,
Sherril L., ABINA’S Secretary, felt called to lead this mission by collecting near new shoes for Sharia’s Closet located in San Diego, California.
Sherril meticulously cleaned all of the shoes she gathered from garage sales and her church in Patterson, California. The Patterson area has a lot of cowboys and so she acquired several good quality cowboy boots.
Some of the donated shoes were given to and by Colette. She packed them along with the Activity Bag Supplies for the second half of the mission.. Allegiant Airlines gifted ABINA with two baggage waivers, allowing 100lbs of donations to accompany Colette on her flight from WA State to San Diego. They were added to Sherril’s collection upon arrival and delivered the next day to Sharia’s The mission, ABINA’S Blessing in a Boit 2.0 couldn’t have come at a better time as Sharia’s Closet’s shoe shelves were almost empty!
