ABINA means, “A Blessing In A…..”

We purposely left the end open to allow a place for you to bless abandoned and at-risk children in Central and North America.

ABINA DONORS and VOLUNTEERS:

Thank you for your of generous contributions to the children through ABINA Orphan Project Ministries….

Your giving has played a vital role in preparing permanent family-style group homes for un-adopted children.

The first home ABINA helped Residence of Life re-model was located in Atenas, Costa Rica.  After the lease was up on this home, Residence of Life purchased a home in Grecia, Costa Rica.  This home is for children under the age of thirteen.  This year in Grecia, 2018, a second home was established for ten teen-age girls.

There is always work to be done!

We trust God’s Plan for their future is one to prosper them; to give them hope, love, and something no one can take from them, “the love of Jesus Christ.”

Thank you for helping provide relief for children who were removed from harmful environments and at risk of becoming victims of unthinkable criminal acts!

It is a blessing to know that the children now sleep comfortably in their beds, in a safe home and do not have to worry where their next meal will come from. They no longer have to wonder who will love and care for them.  Their new mom and excellent caregivers see to it that the children’s everyday care needs are met, that they attend school and church regularly and have good friends in the community.

To God Be The Glory!

Believing that All Things Come From God and for His Purpose, we want to thank our donors and friends for your part in His Plan.

The need is great, and there are many more children in waiting for a home to call their own, and Lord Willing, our goal to help Cherie build 10 group homes will become a reality.  What’s needed most are prayers for financial support to purchase of land in which to build the homes on.

A BLESSING IN A BED, TEN AGAIN, REFLECTIONS…..

We did it!

ABINA Ministries 2016 Orphan Project

In 2016, our Costa Rica mission’s goal was to build ten more beds for the expansion of (RdV) Residence of Life’s home #2, Casa de Timoteo, a group home for ten teen children.

We are grateful to all who participated in this project and look forward to what God has in store for ALL future projects.

Anyone with a heart for helping ABINA’S Christian Ministries and the children at *RdV, please ask how you can help or join us on our next mission.

ABINA BEDS!

There is no place like home, but our hearts remain with the children in Costa Rica.

Because of your  generosity and the support from other ministries and volunteers, 20 children call Residence of Life their home.

VAYA CON DIOS
For 11 years, donors and volunteers have blessed ABINA Ministries with opportunities to serve the children in Grecia and Atenas Costa Rica!
Each year the Lord provides a way for our non-profit to raise the funds needed for our annual mission. Each mission allows us all, a chance to help orphans with their personal care and home furnishing needs.
Every day, we trust God to direct our paths, and breath new life into all we do and all who feel called to be His hands and feet!

Con Mucho Gusto….

Some reflections and photos of previous mission trips:

Back in the States, upon our return home, we began preparing for ABINA’S 3rd Annual Chili Challenge at BBR. With the help of our volunteers and board members, we were able to get everything done in time for the event.

ABINA’S yearly fundraiser, held on July 19th, raised enough funds to buy the orphan’s home a larger size refrigerator. The new appliance will be delivered to the children and their care-givers before Christmas.

The new freezer was purchased by ABINA donors, in Costa Rica, as a part of  our mission trip in April 2014.

One of life’s simple pleasures, a new freezer! They didn’t know it was coming until the truck pulled up into the driveway!

Spring Mission Trip To Residence of Life,  Atenas, Costa Rica;

Jeremy and Colette traveled to perform maintenance on the bunk beds and kitchen cabinets built in 2010/11.

Several of the kitchen cabinets, kitchen table, and one child’s bunk-bed. We were able to rid the furnishings from the termite infestation and spray for six months protection.

The funds used to replace the infested wood was paid for by ABINA’S donors. We tried to take photos to show you how important this mission was. If we had waited another year, the bed would have been a total loss. We learned that in the future, all of our wood work will need to have a preventative applied to them, on a regular basis. One application lasts six months. We will be back!
