ABINA Mission #14..

Mission #14 really consists of four clothing shipments..
The first was the 95lb box of woman and girl clothing we call “The Mystery Box”!
We never would have imagined a box this size, could just disappear. We sent it via UPS on Friday and it was expected to be delivered on the following Thursday. Instead, it took 19 days to arrive from Washington State to San Diego. We surely didn’t expect the $20.00, double-walled UPS box to turn into a beat-up old Target box, complete with Target stickers and tape!
The good news is the box finally arrived; the bad news is that some of the clothes were missing. We filed a claim and although UPS never did explain why, ABINA was reimbursed all of the Lord’s money! We also ordered new undergarments for girls, women, boys and men from Amazon and has them shipped directly to “The Closet.”

We give thanks ….to Y’s Buys & volunteer Sydney for their generous donations of 95lbs of plus-size & extra-small clothing for women in crisis. These particular sizes [X-S to 4X] are hard to find in emergency/crisis situations.

“A Blessing In A 50lb Suitcase“

Jeremy and Colette personally delivered a 50lb. suitcase of clothing for older girls and plus-size women. Jeremy met Shamine for the first time and was impressed with her organization skills and heart for the poor. Shamine and her daughter Sharia recently expanded their service to a free boutique at the Justice Center in San Diego. The need for volunteers~&~ donations of clothing are a constant. “A Blessing in a Big Box from Texas!”

In December 2021; Charlene B., ABINA’S Nurse and Board Advisor, hosted a Christmas Party/ clothing collection at her home in Texas. She mailed her (everything’s big in Texas) 50lb box to Sharia’s, just in time for Christmas Joy!
